This policy explains how 10 Second Quotes handles information when you use our California workers’ compensation cost estimator or request insurance follow-up.
Information we collect
When you use the estimator, we may collect the selections you make, such as industry, monthly payroll and claims history, along with basic device, referral and usage information. If you request details or insurance follow-up, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, phone number and ZIP code.
How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the estimator, understand site usage, prevent abuse, maintain records, respond to requests, and connect people who expressly request insurance follow-up with insurance providers or agencies.
Insurance follow-up and sharing
If you check the consent box and submit your details, you are asking for insurance follow-up. We may share the information and estimator answers you submit with one or more insurance providers, agencies or referral partners so they may contact you by phone, text or email about workers’ compensation insurance. Submitting the form is not an insurance application, does not bind coverage and does not guarantee that a provider will offer coverage or any particular price.
We may receive compensation in connection with referrals. Depending on how applicable California privacy law defines a “sale” or “sharing,” a referral disclosure may be treated as a sale or sharing of personal information even when information is not sold for money. Where applicable law provides an opt-out or other privacy right, we will honor qualifying requests.
